Wow, I had just the opposite reaction. I thought Evangeline Lilly was the best part of the movie, and she brought a lot of nuance and subtlety to a role that was pretty scanty on paper. That scene where Pym tells how Janet died was done just right.

One of Charlie’s major gripes in this review is how Hope is handled. Since she had even less of a role in Wright’s version, this review could conceivably have been more negative.

And on May 4th, 2018, in a theater near you, this guy!

If I had never seen or heard of an octopus and someone described their form and abilities to me, I'd have thought they were talking about some sci-fi alien.
