True, the new one is safer. But so is the Spark, which about the size that rayJoyal thinks the new one should be. Safety standards are one thing, but the way we’re going, cars for sale in the US will be back to 70s land yacht proportions.

That’s why I think something like Milton Friedman’s “negative income tax” would be better for the recipients and more efficient for the govt.

Almost 3 feet longer and 1000 lbs heavier than a CRX. Another victim of automobile bloat. 😡

They are around if you look for them. There are LOTS of them in México. One day I decided to count how many Neons I could see driving around. I saw 7 on the way to work and 3-4 more in the parking lot. By the time I turned in for the night, I saw 26 1st generation Neons and 33 2nd gen including 3 SRTs.

Really? The police have taken the gloves off and are shooting rioters on sight? Stacking the bodies like cordwood until they can be fed into industrial shredder and incinerator?

That sounds like something I did with a 1993 Hyundai Excel.

So how did your 9th grade girlfriend end up liking Charles?

So Mazda had excess quantity of the old transmissions and conned Fiat into taking them? Why would they not keep making the old one if the new one is better?

Once in a while when on vacation is ok, but I’d move if that was the “pretty good” option for everyday life.

The 3rd gen Neon is due back in 2018. This time it will be based on Fiat’s Tipo and built in Turkey.

The problem with dropping the Neon for the Caliber was the timing. Gas prices were high and it left them with nothing that could get over 30mpg.

I can’t see how people are patient enough to wait around for someone else to pick them up to drive them somewhere. Once in a while? Maybe. All the time? Hell NO.

It also got a bunch of flack from the old Dodge loyalists who remembered what the original Darts were like and complained that this one was nothing like it.

I’ve seen a few ads for them, but IIRC they were trying to portray them as a sports sedan. I took a couple for a test drive. They weren’t any better than my Neon.

You still had to take a test to get a license, right?

You also have a bunch of over protective parents that will drive their teenagers wherever they want to go.

The increased cost will be to help pay for transporting the fuel via alternative routes and methods. It isn’t for the cleanup.

According to this, they either just mix the “interface liquid” back into the lower quality product or send it back to be refined. Other times, they have a physical barrier between the products - such as when they run a test/maintenance pig through the pipe.
