In my Rx8 they were unshielded on top of the tank and in the run up the engine bay up to the master cylinder area of the bay. On the rx8 forums there are two guys that have had these go up. barring a rear wheel catching fire or parking on grass your generally ok with the tank lines, but hot unshielded aftermarket

For an rx8 there are no good service departments. You need to find one that had a tech that owns one and is a fanatic. Otherwise you probably know more about the car than they do.

I believe Ford uses those plastic rigid fuel lines, I’m sure they have a technical name, but I’d call them shit. They melt in the blink of an eye. I saw a tow truck go in seconds because it’s exhaust cought some grass on fire in the crack of a driveway. We saw the grass burning under the truck, but even with a fire

It’s kind of a Franken car. It a vw-Porsche built by karmen. Porsche didn’t consider them real Porsches either, that’s why they refused to put badges on them. I think the 918 is the 914’s redemption though. To be fair to real Porsche owners they usually love the car and tell me at least the engines not in the front

What I use in my 914 with zinc additive, dropped my head temps 20 degrees. If it’ll last in 100+ temps in an aircooled engine in Texas, then it’s probably good in anything.

Yeah I have a 914. They leak and it’s just the way it is. I will say switching didn’t effect it as much as I was told it would, but it was noticeable. That being the case I’d still recommend it. An aircooled engine is an extreme case but synthetics do a much better job at cooling, so if the leaks aren’t severe, I’d

I run it in my 914 for the zinc. Brad Penn is what most 914 owners swears by, but the tests I’ve seen don’t back it up. At any rate zinc additive is $6 or $7 so if in doubt throw it in there and use whatever.

That’s a pretty robust engine so if it’s intermittent it’s much more likely that’s an ignition issue. Check coils wires and plugs. Run every electrical system you can simultaneously and it might provoke it.

Mount the phone on the stick. At least they will track straight to keep the phone from jerking out of their hands.

If that’s the criteria I nominate the 914. Huge hit, well loved, and Porsche begrudgingly made it and killed it the first chance they got. They hated it so much it didn’t even get badges.

You could try a high zinc additive for break in or older engines with flat tappets and add it to the oil of your choice. Modern oils don’t have very much do to regulations but small batch companies are allowed to use more. Not knowing what you drive though research it first. Red line is well worth the hassle to order,

How would the country reach you and inform you there’s a neo Nazi party going on, and why would you want them to?

If they just used one strap the may as well have tried to lift it with knives.

Lol I know, but I couldn’t resist.

A cautious.. stuntman...

The problem here is you are in the market for a Badass race car, so my jealousy leaves me no energy for sympathy.

I’m not sure it does anything but annoy people. Looking for classics is a bitch because so many mega auto lots spam that Shit with 2000+ cars. I’m curious if anyone has ever gone looking for a 70 dodge dart then decided you know what yeah I’ll go with a 2004. It’s not even in the ballpark. When I see it the impression

I don’t know how it became a fad, but who gives a fuck what a car or truck looks like? A truck used properly won’t look pretty long, and there’s always more important areas to dump money into. A paintjob or go fast bits.. I think most non vain people are going to choose the go fast bits.

They do not go there, the battery tray is in the engine compartment on the opposite side of the bay from what he has pictured, it is called the “hell hole”. They also typically rust under the spare tire in the frunk, at the rear of the trunk on the inside, and under the seats and pedals. This one had some trunk lid

There is currently one with a shuttle on top next to a building, it looks like it would have had to been dismantled to get where it is. I have no idea what the story is, but you can see it from the road. I assume it’s a display, but we didn’t get a shuttle, I guess it could be a mock up shuttle and the real plane.
