FWIW, GO media states they are reevaluating personal blogs and are leaving them up for now.
The comments (i.e. Kinja) are the only reason I visit any of these sites. Some of the articles are neat but 98% of the time I’m curious on hot/cold takes or commiseration. I even ease up on uBlock and NoScript in order to do so.

The staff acknowledged it earlier today, wrote an article directing comments/suggestions to a google group (that management had visibility on), and it promptly got shut down. It sure feels like Spanfeller and Maidment have absolutely no intention of improving these sites, but rather they’re interfering and destroying…
