Watching the mechanic go over the heads with a wire brush made me cringe.

Yeah, it's going to be impossible to settle this debate. The range and variety of straight 6 and V6 engines out there means that there will always be one that's easy to work on.

As with any Mustang (excluding the Boss 302) the aftermarket options will likely sound worlds better. My old 2002 GT had Magnapacks on it, and to this day I say it was the best sounding exhaust ever put to a Mustang.

Carburetors are powered with demon magic. Not a car, but try syncing 4 single barrel, side draft, slide gate carbs. EFI I understand; PWM, phasing, sensors, I can handle. Accelerator pumps, venturis, floats, jets and jet sizing are a dark art.
