Hardwick's story is great. He walked on as a junior at Purdue the year after Brees lead them to the Rose Bowl. He hadn't played football since 9th grade. He told the defensive line coaches he played linebacker and told the linebacker coaches he played defensive line to cover for the fact he knew little about

I think a better solution would be instead of boards, have a ledge that players will fall over and then a Turtle on a cloud with a fishing pole rescues them and drops them back in the middle of the ice.

Somewhere there's a hot sports take being written about Mankins' selfishness hurting the team. For some reason "a contract is a contract" only when a player is holding out, not when a team demands you take a pay cut or take a walk.

I am a terrible person.

These stories are an interesting counterpoint to the argument that food service employees don't deserve a living wage. Many people argue that there are thousands of people lined up for every food service job and that it doesn't take any skill to perform these jobs so people don't deserve more money.

I care.

I think this is the fault of Big Pharma, pumping toxins into our children's bloodstreams. Clearly these kids need to eat more organic food. Also, they need to get some healing crystals. Healing crystals fix everything.

Shame on you for embedding an auto-play video in your comment. That is despicable.

Thank you for sharing your story and for speaking your mind about equality for all. As an educator, I strive to teach kids to stand up for what is right and to do the right thing. Your story is an example that we should strive to live this philosophy regardless of consequence. I've always believed that good things

When I was 4 at Fenway Park I asked Rich Gedman for his warm up ball by saying, "Rich, I'll be your friend." He gave me the ball and my mom still leads with this story when talking about her only son. I'm 29... I guess I peaked early.

It must have been. Nowadays All-Madden turns every single player on opposing defenses into Champ Bailey and every receiver some undrafted scrub who can't make a play on the ball to save his damn life.

I had no idea, but looks like you're right!

As a huge hockey fan, it just makes me sad when people say "three major sports". Ugh. I just want people to like my damn sport.

What are you talking about? This looks great on my TV.

So sad.
Anyone that's taken one of Uhauls(I don't know if that's who this was) pos trucks across state lines know of their dubious quality, especially brakes and transmissions. Probably not as much of a freak accident as one might suppose.
A real bummer for these guys, I hope their holiday gets a little better for them.

I hope they sell plenty of those shirts.

All of the funds go to them and I get a shirt? Done deal.
