I was surprised because that’s the thesis of Superman for me, that you can’t just have superheroes knock around and have there be no consequences.

DC films have been mostly lack luster or just plain terrible, so I can understand your trepidation here. While I didn’t hate MoS, I had my issues with it, and I just have a bad feeling overall in my gut about this movie.

The more I see the more I am sure that I am going to wait either for glowing reviews, or just to watch this on iTunes later. Something about the image of the B/S/WW standing together in those dark uniforms and super-serious expressions just makes me cringe.
