Often wind farms are in obscure plates like the top of mountain, in a tight valley, etc and you would still need to transport by ground vehicle between an airport large enough to fit them inside (assuming one exists) and the destination.

Agreed. My R1150GSA is bulletproof and I bought it instead of a KTM 950 ADV for the reliability but when it came time to buy a new ADV bike, I bought a KTM 1290 SA instead of an R1250 GSA. Hard to believe that KTM is now simpler and more reliable than BMW...

There’s been plenty of comparisons. This is probably my favorite, as I really like Zack and Ari.

I’ve seen dude’s flog giant Harley’s. The dude doing the flogging is often far more important than the bike they are on.

The BMW 1600 is damn fast in comparison, and does everything a bit more refined, but for the money, this Honda GW is just a stellar value. The BMW upkeep is also a lot more expensive, like the BMW car, regular services are a long list of endless “scheduled” services, like replacing brake fluid, coolant etc, and the…

Such a better bike than the Harley. And far more nimble than you’d expect. I’ve seen guys absolutely flog these things.

I secretly like these giant touring bikes. I have never ridden a real motorcycle, i’m generally not interested in them but for some reason the idea of riding across the country on a Honda Gold Wing holds a lot of appeal for me.
