We really can’t afford to be dismissive of this, the way we were dismissive of Trump’s campaign in 2015. Or how we were dismissive of Trump fighting the Mueller investigation in the press.

Anything E46 is a winner with me. Just a great, restrained design that’s naturally pleasing to look it.

Nice! Those first gen Z4's drove great. A purer sports car than the current G29, and certainly more than the E85/E86. Lighter, more focused. Had proper BMW steering, gearbox, and brake feel. More a dedicated Boxster and Corvette fighter than subsequent generations - especially in M guise.

I’m in the same head space you are. I have a 2 series that I’m pretty happy with for now, but if I buy another BMW it’ll be something pre-turbo. I’ve always been very fond of the E46 M3s.

Totally agreed, I had a 2007 3.0si that I was able to use as a sole commuter and grocery getter for a few years. The trunk was surprisingly large and usable, and the seating position makes parallel parking so easy since there’s not much metal behind you.

That original Z4 hit all the right spots. It was an improvement on every aspect of the Z3, but managed to not lose sight of what was good about the Z3. The suspension was better, interior was better, and the engine selection was great.
