I fully understand that the new Avatars will make badoodles of cash, but lordalmighty is it just exhausting to hear actors, producers, and Cameron wang on about how ummazing they’ll be. I mean, does anyone actually care about “Jake” and how he’s doing? The characters there had all the emotional depth of Colorforms. I

The staging is obviously stolen, though who exactly stole it (Plein, his team, his backers, the creative director of the show, etc., etc., etc.) is pretty unclear. Plein has ultimate responsibility and it’s not gonna work out for him in the long run amongst the editor set, believe you me. Wang remains a darling and

Ellison is my guy, representing the balance of what I believe and what I feel. Moreover, he seems actually engaged in the relevant issues and fired up to address them. He’s progressive politics the way it should be — a Democrat unashamed to be a Democrat.

THAT SAID...

Look, Bruce is a highly weird individual—it would only make (wonderful) sense that he would have some bizarre tics. Remember, this is a guy who makes little throwing knives shaped like bats, who has a car that’s shaped like (sorta kinda) like a bat, who reacted to the violent death of his parents by dressing up in a

I’m not gonna fall for your obvious, pernicious punk baiting, Bluestone. I know the truth.

As New York born and bred, I was miffed that somehow New Hampshire got Spidey (what’s he supposed to swing on, coniferous trees? The pine nettles he’d have to pick out of his suit!). We get Cage tho, so I’m mostly good.

“Poise”: The ability to look toward the opposing end zone with a determined yet wistful twinkle in your beautiful blue eyes before the commercial break.

“vision”

Because within the narrative of the show, it’s not an alternative reality—it IS the reality. All these other examples come in shows/franchises where there are multiple realities.

Apology not accepted, it would seem.

FYI - In What If? Vol. 1 #26, Captain America actually accepts that nomination, runs for prez as an independent with an African American running mate (Andrew Jackson Hawk!) and wins, only to accidentally allow the Red Skull to invade America and eventually dying in a successful effort to thwart him.

I’d like to talk about the complex situation over at Vikings specifically: TWO female characters were killed off this week and one male one. All three were tertiary and only one could have been considered “good” or even likable (one of the women) and this show always kills of the tertiary characters. Still, there’s

I think you’ve got it right—cheap and manageable, which is what they need. I think you can tell by what Gunn and the Russo Brothers say, there are huge upsides for the directors as well. Of course, Whedon and Wright could tell you about the downsides.

But it’s worked so well with Guardians, Winter Soldier, Avengers, Thor 2, Iron Man 1-3, etc. Really, what they’re doing is signing people with vision and comedic skills, but who don’t have the clout to make waves when studio notes come down, but aren’t hacks like Zack Snyder/Joseph Kosinski. What happened with Edgar

Nope, it was the Enchantress’ sister.

Yeah, sort of right, but not quite. It was Enchantress’ sister, Lorelei, in AoS, so the producers could still do anything they want with Enchantress.

Paul Ryan has stated he WILL NOT run for the Speaker position, so there’s that. As well, Boehner’s resignation seems to come with a commitment from the GOP to pass a clean budget extension bill, meaning not only will we avoid a government shutdown next week, but Planned Parenthood gets to hold on to its federal funding

I love it. The MRA movement is eating itself into nonexistence!

People, maybe late to the party here — but has anyone addressed the fact that FTWD uses phones and cars from 2015 when (theoretically) the zombie apocalypse began in 2010? Am I wrong here? What’s happening!?!?
