The main story line? Absolutely. The Mojave is boring, ugly, and bland. It is almost no fun to explore. And the story itself actively hates you if you do anything other than side with the NCR and punishes you if you try and take over. Contrasted to the DLC, which were fantastic, the main game is pretty mediocre.
And suddenly, for the first time since Vice City, I want to play a GTA game.
New Vegas is such a weird game. The main story is boring and meaningless. The DLC is fantastic and interesting. The Mojave is boring and empty. Deserts do not make good areas of exploration. The DLC sites are interesting and varied. I did like the Weird Wasteland Perk though.
Here you get paid from their caps when you kill them. And then you loot their stuff.
