That quote is exactly what makes me worry about Wonder Woman. It isn’t supposed to negate her power, but dictate how she uses it. Despite recent incarnations, WW isn’t supposed to be a warrior. She was originally an Emissary of Peace, sent at the dawn of the Atomic Age to help man save himself from destruction. Her

John Dee’s Enochian language is fascinating and his magical explorations were quite interesting for a man of his time and training. His writings would prove fascinating material for any interested novice.

Central planning, whether in the US or China, will always lead to greater waste and economic corruption.

Am I the only one that finds America Chavez to be a boring, stereotypical character? She is every “badass chica” stereotype rolled into one “rebellious teen” package. Blah. Worst team of Young Avengers yet.

I honestly do not understand what people like about Miss America. She is a boring, stereotypical character.

They have done this exact storyline. Frank gets caught on purpose so that they’ll lock him up in Rykers, where he can get his hands on everyone in prison.

The best way to do the Punisher isn’t to write him as someone to applaud, but as someone that, if you spend enough time around him, listening to him, he starts making a crazy sort of sense.

As someone who straddles the libertarian/anarchist line I can tell you that there is no way that the Punisher is a fantasy. Libertarians hold the Non-Aggression Principle as being axiomatic, meaning that libertarians believe that it is immoral to initiate force against someone else, that the only legitimate use of

Starkiller Base is operative, obviously.

Exactly. He is meant as commentary on the excesses of Superman.

And you are an idiot. Thinking a female character was not well developed doesn’t make that person sexist. Thinking so just makes you a knee jerk reactionist for leaping to ad hominem insults.

Everyone has beat up everyone else at some point. Using this as a metric of how cool or interesting a character is, is irrelevant. I think modern WW is boring and pointless. Totally devoid of her original purpose, as a Messenger of PEACE, and turned into a soldier, she is just another generic Action Woman type.

I really enjoyed all three movies. Voyage was good considering the book essentially had no plot and was just a string of adventures connected together by the idea that Caspian had decided to explore the world. The movie did a decent job constructing a plot and storyarc out of it.

Why do people keep saying this? Maybe 20 years ago, but today? The Magicians Nephew would be HUGE! It is the story of two children using magic to explore the multiverse, survive post-apocalyptic worlds, and defeat ancient evils. The Last Battle is the end of the world! Those books are easily doable. Horse and His Boy

The NT parallels are all throughout the books.

I feel bad for the guy. It was his job to give Lucas way he wanted, it isn’t the actor’s fault that what Lucas wanted sucked.

ALL movies are cash grabs.

A little too on the nose, Marvel.

Trek warp has always been weird in the movie. I mean, in STV they travel to the galactic core in almost no time at all.

“And the mission goes off more or less without a hitch”
