I’d argue that it IS the real deal. IMHO, the 280zx became bloated and overwrought and the inclusion of the slushbox is the icing on that cake. I drove one back in the day and it was so NOT what my buddy’s 260 was even with the 5spd. It had bells, chimes, I think a talking nanny and some other crap.

What’s terrible about it? Shift kit made it hit gears harder than a manual and it took 12psi and megasquirt for years.
