People are unfamiliar with Ivy League marching bands. This kind of stuff is done quite routinely there. I’m almost 30 years out, so can’t remember specifics, but the Penn band always did stuff like this, and often pretty explicit stuff

well tipping is always (technically) optional. It’s not really required, but it is de facto. Given that is what we have all grown up with, shifting to a truly optional system is a mind shift. We have to admit it will make people uncertain. I’m not saying it’s not the right way to go, but it seems clear to me that…
oops, always am just saying it, rarely writing it down
saying what? again people hate uncertainty, travel writers talk about that at length. Tips are pretty much used only in the food industry, vary rarely anyplace else, so people don’t have a strong feel of what to do/how much/etc.
I’m back in the blanks?
My assumption is the restaurant is really afraid of the customer not knowing what to do and feeling uncomfortable, then not coming back. Guidebooks to European travel spend pages describing how and when to tip. Right now, things are pretty clear; if your not a dick you tip absolutely minimum 15% and usually more like…
not sure why all this back and forth. He could give a release to his oncologist to give a brief summary. If he gives a release, absolutely fine for the doc to release info, not a HIPPA issue. If he doesn’t do that, I’d say he’s lying. This is true in any of these “questionable” cases. Don’t want to see 3rd hand copies…
Based on The Martian, that space suit is not close to NASA issue. Cease and desist immediately.
oh, where do I start? Cheesesteak (not a “philly cheesesteak” no one from Philadelphia would call it that) with wiz. Pulled pork with cole slaw in the sandwich. Nice rare beef on a weck. Lobster roll (Maine/Mass style-cold with mayo). Cold meatloaf with ketchup. now I’m starving
Tom neither though. So who knows what the story is. She married a non-scientologist.
exactly, The next set of conjoined twins that need to be separated, why go to a fancy pants Ivy league educated so called surgeon. I’m sure the lady down the street who sews her own dresses would do just as good a job
patience patience! could even be as long as 12 months, and hate to say it, not everyone gets complete lack of periods
may take a full 6 months for them to disappear. for some it never dose, but almost always much much less.
Never say never, but in general very few systemic effects from Mirena. The way I explain it, the dose of the hormone is so low, for the most part it is just working like a topical hormone. Very little is actually getting to the blood stream, so far less side effects than the Pill which works by going through the blood…
without question worse. Basically all groups say limited or no use of PSA is warranted. At this point there is no evidence based screening AT ALL, for prostate cancer.
You know what pisses me off, some sites were showing “NSFW” videos of this. Well I don’t know if their W is Liberty University, but everything I saw was pixilated. NSFW, my ass. False advertising!
plus prevalance. that is the other key variable. Test could be 99% specific, but if a super rare disease, most positives are still false positives.
polyps lower risk, but recommendations have just changed, and I believe are pretty much the same, 40, or 10 years younger than age relative was diagnosed
Thanks! Certainly if you have uncertainty, bringing up during your routine exam is a great idea. I never actively discourage self exam, just don’t go out of my way to push it. Like others have mentioned, speak up with your doc. When they’re checking your breasts, say “what should I look for? what about the bumpy stuff…
weired mix. some psyched, many have had it so beaten into them that they MUST have it yearly, that they are sure their cervix will rot out if they miss one year. And again, doesn’t help that so many gyn’s still are pushing yearly, which means a recommendation from a lowly family doc sounds suspect.
