While I certainly understand that the way videogames “glorify” violence can make people uncomfortable, and there is absolutely some stuff worth unpacking there, this strikes me as completely ass-backwards.

Literally the first comment is an annoying ignoramous calling it a myth. Do neckbeards have some kind of radar that homes in on anything that doesn’t immediately and explicitly endorse the status quo?

I too, was hoping for big black holes with accretion disks and event horizons. To be fair the vast majority of black holes in the universe are just invisible to us because they are not actively attracting/consuming material. But this is a game dammit! I’m liking it so far. Very lonely and contemplative. But then when you do find signs of life after so much wandering, it’s like, a big deal. I love the alien encounters, they’re really good thanks to the difficulties in communication and the differences in cultures and all that.
