While Americans generally don’t know Mercedes Benz as maker of commercial vehicles, they made the Sprinter vans (which were sold with Mercedes, Freightliner, or Dodge badges here in the US.). They know how to build a decent truck that has lots of utility, that doesn’t necessarily need to be a luxury item. It would be

They were probably using studded tires...which are not road legal in most areas.

I would have to say Michigan is probably one of the best states to wrench on cars.

Let’s not kid ourselves here. The truck in question was not a 1997 Ram in purple with green flames. The truck looked exactly like this:

I’m in favor of stricter penalties for drunk drivers such as ignition interlocks or perhaps permanently revoking someone’s driving privileges after the 2nd offense, but I don't think lowering the BAC limit to .05 and going after people who have 2 drinks after work or with dinner is going to decrease fatal crashes

Nissan can make as many of these one-off prototype vehicles for promotional purposes as they want. I won’t consider their cars any cooler or more desirable until they make it a factory or dealer installed option.

If you ask me the wheels are the coolest part, and the seat belts are just a neat little detail.

It’s kinda nice how the wheels don’t intrude much into the bed like on most body on frame trucks of similar proportions. I’m sure this has a nice quiet ride, and the level of utility provided would be perfectly acceptable for how most non-truck bros would use a truck, but I’m not sure if I see it outselling the Toyota

The placement of that clock on the passenger’s side seems a bit odd. You would think that in a driver’s car, all of the instruments and gauges on the dash would favor the driver, or at least be centered.

I’ve got nothing against Cobra replicas, but because they’re kit cars some are just put together better than others. It’s just that for this price, I’d expect a car that doesn't show bodywork and primer.

I’ve been considering buying an e90 M3 for a while now. I don’t know if I’d buy one with that many miles, though. An extended warranty is a worthwhile purchase on something like this.

I remember reading about this car being one of the few cars at the time to reach 100 horsepower per liter of displacement.

That's a pretty cool truck. I want one.

I’ve always thought that towing capacity ratings for 1500 series trucks are somewhat inflated, and this only confirms my suspicions. Like how they rate a properly equipped Silverado 1500 with the 6.2 gas engine at 12,000 lbs. Personally, I’d be looking at 2500 series trucks if I had to regularly tow a trailer of that

By far my favorite comment Jay Leno made was in the end that if Darth Vader drives a car with a 6-speed manual, how evil can he be?

I’m not that concerned about which department or group of engineers or specific person within VW is held responsible for the cheating as much as I’m curious what the plan is to fix earlier (around 2010 or so) TDI models

I went to MSOE, graduated a couple years ago.

I lived in Milwaukee for 5 years when I was in engineering school, and that’s definitely not a recent picture because I can see several high rise buildings that aren’t present in the photo. I agree that by Chicago standards, traffic there is essentially non existent, though most locals will agree the roads are not
