it depends what you’re into. I love puzzles. I played Myst as a kid. I enjoy getting stoned, walking around the beautiful island and using a notebook to figure out the puzzles. I don’t overdo it. If I get stuck, I come back later.

Mundane /=/ regular. I do agree that it maintains white privilege but it’s not about being normal. It’s about being BORING. I find it interesting that whites are seen as boring. They are linked, obviously, but it’s a part of culture not many people want to be linked to.

I’m talking about cultural depictions, not my opinion. Also the opposite of mundane isn’t exotic, and exoticism has a very different history. Rather than saying POC are depicted as “other”, I find it interesting that whites are seen in the cultural tableau as “mundane”.

The Coen Bros. usually make movies about the strange mundane though. What is more mundane than white people.
