Alan Partridge strikes me as the British equivalent to Stephen Colbert (the fictional right wing blow hard not the talk show host)

It’s undoubtedly the best film of the sequel trilogy. Although the competition isn’t incredibly fierce. Especially with episode 9. Was getting this good Star Wars film worth the backlash from it that led to the trilogy going out on a complete wet fart?

I liked both Caesar and Llewelyn. Hail Caesar was a very sharp comedy (George Clooney as a Reagan parody I mean c’mon) and Inside Llewelyn Davis feels like a comprehensive exploration of failure

it’s worth noting that it doesn’t entirely hold true. Tennant had 3 seasons and an entire year of TV movies. Smith’s 3rd season was split in two season sized chunks with multiple TV movies and one full on theatrical movie. Both of them had functionally 4 seasons. Jodie has had 2 smaller seasons and is gonna have a

Wanting to punch Bill Murray seems like a reasonable response to Bill Murray. I mean god knows what happened between him and Richard Dreyfus on the set of What About Bob

they could have had their cake and eaten it too if The Two Towers had ended on the same cliffhanger as the book

Dwayne Johnson’s performance in Southland Tales was revelatory. I wish he would do more weird shit like that.

did the 2 god awful films not already drain all the good will from any reboot of this?

I really want to hear his thoughts on Jordan Peele’s impression of him in Key and Peele’s Urkel/Twilight Zone sketch

this. there were some absolutely harrowing sequences in MSG79 and Zeta. The Psycho Gundam in Hong Kong and the sequence where Amuro destroys a military base  and most of all the very opening of MSG79 where the Zakus open fire on Side 7

are you familiar with the proto Rick and Morty, Doc and Mharty? Because that was truly inanely filthy and this episode seemed like Rick and Morty returning to their disgusting roots

I want it to beThe Maker, wouldn’t that be a hellofa twist

there was a guy who for several 4th of July’s running, would walk around Central Park with a megaphone reciting president Bill Pullman’s speech

interesting thing is that the various oceans have different salt densities. So if you go the what’s supposed to be the border between the pacific and atlantic you can literally see the line where they meet in the water. It’s called a halocline.

regarding the 3 seasons rule, it’s a loose one because both Tenant and Smith had functionally, 4 seasons. Tenant had the 3 and then the whole year of TV movie episodes. And Smith’s last season was split in two each as big as a normal season and air over two years in addition to the multiple TV movies. So it’s not a

I grew up with both but Beast Wars (and even more so it’s sequel Beast Machines) tells a genuine, emotional story in a way no other Transformers series does.

doesn’t the Stephen Colbert voiced mad scientist Zeep Xanflorp from season 2's “The Rick’s Must Be Crazy” count as a nemesis? Because I think he should

I really really like their remake of The Heartbreak Kid that reunited them with Ben Stiller. It’s so good!

that’s Bruce Timm’s creepy ship. Without Paul Dini to stop him that’s what he does

I’ve said this repeatedly but when I first saw Man Of Steel in the theater I had the thought that it was mimicking Invincible which was weird as hell because Invincible was and is to some extent a Superman parody. But somehow Man Of Steel captured the way Kirkman and his artists did combat between their superheroes,
