with regards to Collins saying she hadn’t seen Battle Royale, that may be true because both Battle Royale and the Hunger Games books draw heavily from the “deadly reality TV” books that Stephen King wrote under his pseudonym Richard Bachman, The Long Walk and The Running Man

he had throat cancer a few years back. It’s why his voice sounded so off in The Snowman as well.

or The Snowman!

I don’t get this. I worked at Subway as a teenager and those ovens, in which you could toast sandwiches with cheese or anything else, burnt the shit out of every employee’s arms at least once and I still have the scars to prove it so why are these sandwiches somehow a bigger danger than that?

One of the differences between Invincible and The Walking Dead is that Invincible had an ending that it worked towards and was great. The Walking Dead is like Groundhogs Day, just suffering on an endless loop and that’s the point but in either form (comics or show) it gets old after a while.

Those or Stardust Memory would make excellent source material for a movie. But given Netflix’s trackrecord on live action anime adaptations, like uh, their Death Note movie which was awful, I’m not holding my breath.

While it is true that Filoni’s Grivious is much more in Sync with the goofier Grievous of Ep3, I still think his most terrifying moment is when he annihilates the Nightsisters.

I really like Insomnia and I have never been able to shake the feeling that The Dark Knight is to some a extent a flashier remake of it; with Ledger’s Joker being a more gonzo version of Robin Williams’ Walter Finch

Pretty sure in this one Kong climbs the Twin Towers

Re: the alien costume never altering his behavior. This is correct. However, the original introduction of Venom is a mess. Eddie Brock is retconned clumsily into the death of Jean DeWolff. People forget that was a retcon and a bad one. The alien costume itself was executed well in the comics, Venom was not. The Venom

In the Resident Evil Remake, originally on Gamecube but I was playing it on ps4, the scariest part is when you realize that every zombie you’ve killed and not burned with your limited supply of kerosene will probably turn into a crimsonhead and terrorize you if you walk over their corpses in the mansion later on. THAT

Ugh. I love The Pink Panther Strikes Again so much. I’ve seen it more times than I can count and certain sequences have never failed to make me laugh until I can’t breath, like Clouseau disguised as a the dentist with the melting nose and the murderous Oktoberfest

Is Space Jam not considered a successful Warner Bros animated feature?

It’s probably Patrick’s digression on Wumbo. “WUMBOLOGY, the study of Wumbo?”

Muppet Treasure Island is my favorite Muppet movie and I think it might be one of the best pirate movies ever.

Pretty sure this was John Hurt’s final film

They were married for a long time

Japanese copyright law is draconian. I once uploaded a music video using footage from the original Godzilla film on youtube, an almost 70 year old movie, and Toho flagged it for infringement within TEN MINUTES
