Well, partially because Sony isn’t buying up major publishers and then making their games platform-exclusive, at least not yet.

Wait, are you trying to tell us that PHIL SPENCER MIGHT LIE TO US?

This deal was not done to take games away from another playerbase like that,” Spencer said. “Nowhere in the documentation that we put together was: ‘How do we keep other players from playing these games?’ We want more people to be able to play games, not fewer people to be able to go play games.”

I hope they make it even more sapphic than Part II already was. It really pissed off a certain kind of people to my amusement.

Creative and skilled people produce art and entertainment, not capitalism.

Yes. And clearly, whoever got paid to write this dumb-as-rocks article is part of that majority. Fortunately too, there was absolutely no incentive for them to, y’know, do some research on their hot take, because no one running the undead corpse of the AV Club gives a shit about anything they publish anymore. It’s the

From what I can remember during the transition, floppy disk referred to the larger disk and hard disk referred to the smaller disks. When floppy’s were phased out the name just stuck and I guess hard disk refers to the HDD.

The smaller ones were often distinguished as diskettes, at least in manuals and other literature. Don’t know if anyone actually said it out loud.

Is it just me or is that not a “floppy disk”? I always thought the larger ones with the oval in the lower middle were “floppy” because they, well, were floppy. What he’s using is not to me a floppy disk.

Ooooh so edgy, “your moms basement”, amazing stuff.

The medium of the original story is inconsequential. This article is the equivalent of saying “Netflix’s All Quiet on the Western Front jumps in on trendy new anti-war themes.” Something can’t be hopping on a new trend if it existed before said trend occurred.

What a pointless article, Cindy! Like you and everyone else said, the game came out over 10 years ago. Not exactly a 2023 trend that the show is following. Find something worthwhile to say for the love of god. But at least you got some clicks and comments on your drivel.

Exactly. It’s not hopping on some trend. It’s telling a story that it told a decade before the current “trend” even started.

This entire article is framing this as if TLoU didn’t do this story back in 2013.  Huge swaths of this episode (and the series) are straight form the game, and aside from seeing the men and women of the community, this is maybe the closest the show has hewn to the game.

Have you played the game? I have. I’m also Jewish, but sometimes a battle horn is just a battle horn.

Honestly the game has gay couple has a trans actor playing a trans character, is more racially diverse than og harry potter for cast, and main character is refered to as they them. You can be even trans. At this point I think Kotaku and the like are actually losing at this. Yes JK is a bitch but this game is the most

I saw some of the stuff being thrown at Pikamee, it definitely wasn’t “just threatening to unsub”. In both her original tweet and her reply she was constantly called a transphobe, told to off herself, sent death threats, told that she was directly killing trans people, and had trans and ‘ally’ accounts celebrate her

To be fair though, per Wikipedia the song has only been used 23 times in film and TV since 2006 so I wouldn’t call it overused.”

N.W.O. is a great Ministry song.

You are all wrong, NWO was a Hulk Hogan/Scott Hall/Kevin Nash thing.
