Point me to the government censorship. This is CORPORATE censorship, totally different as corporations have the right to free speech, and thus, censorship.

Good! To hell with this kid! I’m tired of people giving this troll the attention he wants.

Ugh. Kid sucks.

Make them sell Bethesda too.

Chill, dawg. Kotaku isn’t afraid to call Sony on their bullshit when Sony does something problematic. (See: Sony refusing to give Kotaku review codes because they don’t like Kotaku’s reporting.) It’s just that in this case, MS published something that Kotaku can comment on.

Are you saying that Microsoft shouldn’t be called out on flagrant bullshit just because Sony also bullshits?

You realize that there is a whole audience of people who got into the elder scrolls through morrowind and oblivion on the xbox right? Those games have always been super hot on console. I’m having a hard time finding hard numbers (because video game companies would die before giving specifics) but I’m almost 90%

I hard disagree. The change in camera is one of the best changes to the series. Maybe we just play differently or it clicked faster for me but losing situational awareness wasn't an issue for me. It was the opposite. It made the battles more intense and had me focused in on the things that mattered.

In terms of games? No Xbox has jack shit right now.

Every Xbox game is available on PC on the day of release. Gamepass is cheaper on the PC. Every Microsoft game will be available on the Sony Playstation. You can’t win a console war by allying yourself with every other console and choosing not to fight. You just haven’t lost either.

I have a PS5 and an Xbox Series X.

I can’t think of a single game that makes me want to turn on my Xbox.

Probably when the number of XBox consoles and Console Game Pass subscriptions surpass the number of PS5 and PS Plus subscriptions.

As an adult with little time to play, Gamepass could hardly new less interesting. I get to play 3-4 games a year (been playing the first playthrough of Elden Ring most of this year) and getting the perfect game for me there matters a lot more than quantity.

Console sales would indicate that they very much have not and probably don’t have a realistic shot at it. To say otherwise would be moving the goalposts from how we’ve measured success in every past generation.

When Microsoft releases some good games.

Microsoft hasn’t even sold half of the units Sony has, so I think it’s very hard to justify calling them the victor in the *console* war. They are making excellent progress in the games as a service realm though, where Sony is far behind.

Will the next announcement be that hbomax is going all unscripted reality TV? Asking for a friend.
