I find it funny that so many are blaming Sony when Disney tried to drastically slash Sony’s takings from future films. Disney wanted 50% of the revenue from 5% and they don’t even own the rights to the films. Typical Disney strong arm tactics and yet the masses will worship them blindly.

I’ve always taken Faustian stories less seriously than other folks, so that may be part of my feelings about the series. My take on Marlowe’s is that the whole point is not the deal with the Devil itself, but how much Faust wastes his “ultimate power” sitting around and doing nothing.

Really? I found the whole Mister Miracle series to be absurdist in the best way possible. I didn’t get the sense that we were supposed to take any of it seriously.
