"Unbreakable is the best superhero film ever made that's totally 100% an original property…"

Also, I would argue that she is bright - she seems great at observing what others miss. She has a nice sense of logic about her. And The Doctor certainly saw something in her to allow her to study as his private student.

But it has that beautiful last scene of Amelia, waiting… and then hearing the TARDIS. That for me makes up for any missteps in the episode (which I think is fine and the acting between Gillan and Smith in the graveyard is fantastic).

I don't have any issues with the future Amy and Rory being there - time can be rewritten. Hell, time is rewritten in that very story - the point of having them at the start is to show the ramifications when that future is changed (which is why I disagree with @Baulderstone:disqus that the scene should have been cut -

That's what I meant with the second bit, though my memory of it was a bit less prison-y and more "I'll keep you safe in the TARDIS as my responsibility". I mean, a prison in all but name sure but it seemed less punishment and more trying to care for him. So I've talked myself into thinking The Vault could be something

Missy - especially in series 8 - would suggest it's possible. Not to mention Poppins having an ever-ready container that was bigger on the inside.

I mean, I was available but really, I'd have been shit.

I find it so hard to imagine a Who fan watching series 5 and coming away thinking it was anything less than fantastic but I respect that others have different opinions and tastes of course. It just seems so bizarre to me. I'm a Moffat fan even if I can see some of the flaws that others dislike but I always thought

That would make it more of a prison, which doesn't seem a very Doctor-y thing to do.

With regards to the Victorian nanny bit, I had a dream last night that Doctor Who finally introduced a Victorian nanny as a main cast member - only it was the Doctor him/herself. My mind had put together all of the "12's regeneration is complicated!"/"He leaves at Christmas but we see him start to regenerate in this

"with really annoying children that you want to murder any time they open their mouths"

"I mean, really, it was half-witted. Of course it would be Saruman. Fucking hell."

In my head, this puts Capaldi's appearance as a university professor in Peep Show in 12's continuity.

I believe some of the street scenes from The Snowmen were filmed in Bristol.
