Ya know, I've noticed something, both among my friends and reviewers, that explains the divergent opinions people have on this show. There seem to be two schools of thought: those who see this as a story of the hosts slowly gaining sentience with a corporate b-plot, and those who see this as a story of corporate

Yup, to Ford, MIB is just another guest trying to "find himself." Nothing more, nothing less.

Thanks! I agree W has some admirable qualities, but I was curious to hear /Michael Moore/ articulate some sincerely. I do know he is nearly universally praised for the AIDS funding.

What a beautiful show.

If it does anything I think the "twist" reveals how the hackers are able to get away with all of this. As OP points out, the hacker's actions are objectively terrible regardless of the true nature of the victims, but the "twist" invites the viewer to nevertheless endorse them. I am sure in the universe of this

I also love how Yorkie chooses to wear the glasses even though they are just for show. For most everyone else in San Junipero, it's a chance to go balls to the wall, to try outlandish shit they'd never get the chance to do in life. For Yorkie, it's her first chance to live an /authentic/ life, so of course she makes

Loved how he took the loaf of bread, tucked it and scuttled off like Aladdin.

Haha, that's gotta be it and it's even funnier. I couldn't quite make it out over Jimmy's inner monologue so I took a wild guess.

She's so smart and funny.

I would literally cry tears of happiness if Ian Mcshane ever played a host in Westworld.

You're pretty on point with the Cheesecake Factory comparison, except Marie Callender's is pies. So it's not that great - except for the pies.

I'm really curious as to the three nice things Michael Moore says about W. Was he being sincere?

Betting that Vernon's financial domination fetish means he totally gets Paul's cuckolding thing.

Small moment, but liked the satisfied look on the guy's face (therapist's boyfriend?) as Gretchen rates him: 5/10, would bang.

The whole podcast was so spot on, I couldn't stop laughing.

Don't forget the ghost baby!

Nigerians, man…

It's one of the show's funnier recurring devices, where they will plop you in front of an in-park storyline/narrative loop, but you're unsure if everyone on the screen is a host or not.

I kinda want to see Ben Folds and Sam interact now.

This would be a hilarious turn. The book becomes semi-popular, but only with the Fifty Shades of Grey crowd that Jimmy feels doesn't appreciate his "genius."
