I like to pride myself on being a true multi-takser, my fellow Chicagoan. As such, I am adept at successfully focusing on multiple things at once. For example, I can focus on Idris while doing a myriad of things* such as:

Hmph...he had his chance...but there were others always getting in the way:

I love that ‘Phyllis’ line...that kid got TALENT!

I live here, too. I’m good with whatever my peeps gone do, even if it means sacrificing.

Kanye was never ‘poor’ in Chicago to begin with. Kanye grew up in a real life, honest-to-God, black middle-class neighborhood, with lots of married parents, home ownership, dual incomes, requisite 2.5 kids, two cars in the driveway...the whole you dig. Just like Common and Chance. So in short, he’s ‘hood adjacent,’

I need a visual on that shyte, for real!

The Cosby Show was too neat, tidy and convenient for my ‘real-life in the hood’ sensibilities. Older Cosby...like Chet Kincaid Cosby, was the joint when I was a kid. No, bitch...no.

And don’t forget that all sides like to throw salt on Rahm’s ass, too. I’m not going to say he doesn’t deserve some of that ish but scores of folks are hoping he fails ‘biggly.’

Doctors ply a trade just like lawyers, plumbers, electricians, etc. That’s why for hundreds of years you could apprentice and become a lawyer or doctor just like a plumber, electrician, carpenter, etc. Education and credentials for the profession are still a relatively new phenomenon.

I’m not saying they aren’t incompetent, but OOPs can be a slippery slope. When I worked 911 dispatch years ago, I would have to ‘counsel’ distraught women and some men on the process and refer them on to the court for assistance. Often, I would hear the sadness and despair in their voices before I’d even get to the
