I read this book in the 5th grade and had to get special permission because of the “themes.” I do have to admit as a 90's kid, I was very, very confused by the descriptions of sanitary products.

Honestly?  I don’t know.  I would have argued his security detail theft is also going to be under heavy scrutiny.  But he likely absconded with nearly a half-billion in corruption funds between the SS theft and straight up bribery.  God knows how much actual cash he received from foreign countries in his overseas…

I think we all have to come to terms with the fact that talented people can also be shitty people. Thriller is a great song and Alice in Wonderland is a great novel, they’re just made by pedophiles. The Beatles made a lot of influential music and 2, maybe 3 of them hit their wives. Etc

Our local bakery, Bennison’s, makes fantastic pączki with fancy flavors like German Chocolate, Praline Chocolate Mousse, and Banana Cream.  They are very tasty, and VERY fresh.  I don’t know if I think they’re that much different than your usual jelly donut or custard Bavarian, if those are well made.

All can go with salt. I like a soft solid caramel in dark with sea salt, but I like the Caramello style of liquid caramel in milk. I think a big part of it is that children prefer milk chocolate, largely because it’s softer and has a milder flavor. Then as people develop more sophisticated tastes and move on to dark chocolate, milk chocolate becomes associated with childish tastes, and therefore inferior. Kind of like how you might have liked…

That’s a pretty decent description, though the cheese proportion is about the same as a New York style. In my opinion, the best Sicilian pizzas are the ones with a ton of sauce.
