This. Hence my long post above.

A timeless classic design.

Mk1 Scirocco was the perfect people’s wedge car. Drove one in 1980. Wanted it so bad. It seemed really fast even though it was wasn’t but it WAS sexy as hell back then.

Hello fellow traveler.

Would have got an Element if had more horsepower.

I’ll let my mechanic, grocer, bank, tax man, appliance companies, insurance companies, house repair, phone and cable, doctor, pharmacist, etc, folks know I’m just over-consuming.

Sorry, are you the center of the universe? My bad. I was also commenting in general.

Most of these slush box lifted wagons are all exactly the same bland thing between manufacturers let alone on an individual lot.

Man, I so want to love Toyotas, but their seats are not made for me.

Sounds like you aren’t paying attention in life.

Look at you Stockholm Syndrome victims.

Having worked in large scale mfg, no, all products are not identical. I’ve been through this even with special orders. Drove the base car, ordered the config I wanted, then may or may not have problems when delivered.

Sorry to kill the mood, but, nope.

Those damn commie scientists. /s

So WHERE, exactly do I get to drive the car? Not “one like it”, but the exact car I want to take home?

Google has been acting like Mircoshit for years now: embrace, extend, extinguish.

I’m never buying any car without test driving it first.

How does this happen?

I hate it too, but that’s what it takes to verify everything.

Showroom or lot, I will never buy a car I haven’t test driven nor use an on-line service that is half-assed, of which there are many.
