I kind of have no choice but to judge it on its own terms rather than judge it as a Zelda game, because the only other game I've played in the series is Link's Awakening on GameBoy.

Pretty grateful that I was oblivious to the backlash. Loved my GameCube, and that game (along with Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Starfox Adventures, Metroid Prime…) and the look was no small part of it. Amazing aesthetically. I'm assuming an article like this means it's been subsequently reevaluated?

I honestly think people are predisposed to hating girlfriend characters. They hated Lana Lang, they hate Laurel, they hate Iris. It's a pattern. People like alternative love interests like Chloe and Felicity.
