Well, the beginning of the article is pretty standard Deadspin editorial tone, but then it goes into Page 2-esque look at how insane the video is, before finally the final paragraph goes right back to the “This is actually very, very wrong and I am morally superior” tone that a lot of editorials on this network of

I have no real opinion one way or the other about Hank Williams Jr. His little rant about Obama was literally the only time I’ve paid attention to him outside of the MNF intro and I cannot name any other song he’s ever made (though, in all fairness, that also applies to 99% of musical artists out there, including

...Because it’s their main source of making money?

Imagine working at a job where you make, say, $12/hour. You’re good with your coworkers, you’re friendly with customers, you work hard, and the worst thing you’ve done is clock in 5 minutes late once or twice.

The only person I was complaining about was the author, who seems to think this intro was made because ABC wanted America to burn because they used some bad CGI to turn some monuments into football versions for a dumb intro.

....Really? You’re gonna “tsk tsk” 1995-era ABC for this? For using a popular (especially at the time) country singer with a song that fit perfectly with what they were selling? For somehow not seeing into the future and realizing that he would hate a black President? Come off your fucking high horse. It’s a goddamn

Yea, it is. I don’t see how that’s a bad thing, though, but apparently the author does.

If by triggered you mean “slightly annoyed”...

I think it will get marginally better since Flacco more or less skipped training camp and preseason entirely, but it’s not gonna make much difference since the offensive line is just so, so terrible.

The art of the theme song is a lost art. Just look at Sunday Night Football. The old theme was freaking awesome, but after Faith Hill left and they changed the song it lacks any pizzaz whatsoever. A good theme song gets you excited for what’s to come and it’s a damn shame television has (mostly) decided to dump them

I feel like this is one of those “I haven’t been offended by anything for about 6 hours, lemme find something to piss me off” articles.

Man, was that game cathartic as a Ravens fan. Worrying about the secondary so much and everybody saying the team was gonna be bad, it was nice to see the defense beat up on Dalton.

Part of me thinks they will announce Animal Crossing mobile, but then again, the Direct splash image specifically says Switch and 3DS, so I dunno.

What I think the Direct will focus on:

I don’t know if it was the video that was taken down, but he did make a full, 2+ hour video of him playing Firewatch. It was uploaded early 2016.

But he hasn’t made a video about the game in a long while. He made his video back when the game was new. Unless the article missed something, Firewatch wasn’t on the stream in question. The game he was playing was Battlegrounds.

I think people are confusing videos here. Pewdipie was not streaming Firewatch, not even when he said the word. His Firewatch videos are months, if not a year (I forget when it was released) old. He’s already gotten 90% of any possible revenue he could have gotten from that game.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in the league, the Red Rifle is out of ammo.

Golden Girls will forever be tainted for me because my former college roommate HAD to have his TV on 24/7, even when he was sleeping. He always had it on either Nickelodeon or Lifetime, and the latter usually ran marathons of Golden Girls every day. As much as I like Golden Girls, I didn’t like listening to 12
