They’ve been selling these systems for over a decade now.

Well, like I said, they could have changed it. The last review I read was about 4 years ago.
No idea if they’ve changed it, but previous iterations used infrared instead of Bluetooth, so the controller has to make line of sight contact with the console in order to work.
It also brought us a funny cartoon that the game’s creators loathe.
Yea, but full-CG animated series made in Japan tend to be very hit or miss with actually looking good.
There were two dubs for North America. One was a terrible, horrible dub made by DiC, which retitled the series “Knights of the Zodiac” (hence the title for the Netflix show) and aired on Cartoon Network’s SVES block.
Yea, Toei LOATHES TFS. At least, their upper management does, since it’s clear somebody on their writing staff is a huge fan.
Gonna try and pre-order this (unlike the NES Classic, which I ignored because the game I most gave a damn about had part of the fun taken away), or at least get one release day.
While I doubt they’ll have a “bundle” price, I can pretty much guarantee right now that every single one of these games, including StarFox 2, is going to be on the Switch at some point. I can even see a lot of these being on Nintendo’s Online games plan.
Given that I’ve seen a lot of Crunchyroll ads on broadcast TV (especially CW and its subchannels) I wonder if this deal would make it easier for FUNimation to get their shows on OTA television.
I doubt Sony gives a shit about them. Toei’s the one with problems with TFS.
The TV section of the company (which FUNimation is now under) is actually doing rather well.
I think it’s out of fear that it will be another Bandai Visual or Aniplex of America. Plus, Sony’s own in-house anime releases, especially the few TV series they’ve done, haven’t had many good releases.
Disney XD (which is where One Piece would end up, not Disney Channel proper) would not want to deal with One Piece. Sanji alone would be too much hassle to deal with, especially after the debacle with Naruto Shippuden.
...You already can. For free. Both Crunchyroll and Daisuki stream the episodes only a couple hours after it airs in Japan.
I don’t even think it’s on Blu-ray in Japan. There’s no way in hell Toei would ever allow One Piece on Blu-ray in the US before Japan. If they do, it will be dub-only.
...How do they look preteen?
Ecchi treads on a very thin line for me. I enjoy some aspects of it (Heaven’s Lost Property, Girl’s Bravo, High School DxD), but I dislike a lot of it.
I fucking adore the NFL. Watch an entire slate of games every Sunday. Watch every Monday Night game. I even watch the Thursday Night games.
Obviously Square was withholding units in order to increase demand. They are blatantly anti-consumer. Should have known how popular the game would be and shipped hundreds of units to every store so that you could walk in 5 hours later and easily grab a copy. Now the game will inflate in price on the 3rd party market…
