You're exactly right, and if you listened to last week's Daddy Paid For My Brooklyn Apartment podcast featuring me, Matt Christiansen, Chris Matterson, and Michael Tracey, you'll know we touched on that right after we discussed what to do about Zaid Jilani's growing bacne problem.

This is clearly a waste of time and any evidence of collusion between Team Trump and Putin is wrong and even if it were true, it would be OK because Trump was the peace candidate.

Lisbon's my fav. (shrug)

I have the exact same opinion. Now I love those guys, and they still shred live, but these days they're just pumping out three-chord easy-rhyming stuff that doesn't really mean anything, and it sucks that it comes from the same band that gave us:

Interpol post-Antics made the decision to have Paul Banks' vocals, and therefore lyrics, front and center. This was not a wise decision.

You either like "Eyes Without A Face" or you don't.

Yeah, the hottest take Walkmen fans have about the band's discography is "Heaven isn't as good as Lisbon."

This Is Happening isn't as good as its predecessor but it's still OK.

Every decision that trash album makes is the safest one. Weird? Nah man.

Naw man, those promotional pictures of them looking like they don't give a shit standing in an elevator MEANT SOMETHING

I'm almost this. I love love love Friend Opportunity; it's in my Top 10 from the '00s. (With The Runners Four in my Top 2.) But the Deerhoof on Offend Maggie was just…a band. A great one, but they weren't broadcasting missives from Neptune anymore.

Soros actually helped fund a campaign a friend of mine worked on. It was a county-level DA position. The guy wanted to reform the local criminal justice system and stop locking up randos for years for nothing charges. Also wanted to clear out some of the dead weight from the county staff (there were a lot of Tom

It says much for team-red tribalism that someone like Mitch McConnell can 1) ever get elected; 2) always get elected; and 3) become incredibly powerful within the system. He has the personality of a grape, looks like there's an absolute certainty he keeps a closet full of severed doll heads in his house, is plainly

Who Pooped the Bed has people who hate it and people who love it (myself included; I legitimately have it in my Top 10), while Frank's Brother usually just elicits a shrug.

It's not the best, but I actually rewatched it over the weekend and it's still got some good stuff in it.

"Aw, Mac's the best."

"bee movie but it's actually antz"
