@Skydog: "This is OnStar, our system shows your airbags have deployed, do you need assistance?"
33 MPG....
I used to want one to take one of these and drop a GLH drivetrain in it.
I voted a fresh re-boot!
Ford Pinto, then a Reliant Wagon, then a succession of Pontiac Parisienne wagons before some conversion vans.
@LoganSix: We had the one with the "Hemi" and wood sides.
When I worked at an automaker, we could not bring in outside laptops or anything like that, but they also knew people had GMail accounts and other things and basically they had to trust you.
@snap_understeer_ftw: I used to daydream about ferrying across the Bering Strait and driving to London (with Michigan tags). People convinced me I was crazy.
@shinjukuDLJ: Those are hubcaps, and yes, you like them.
@Zee Kay: Actually, somehow what came to mind was my old 5000 (a great car, but more what a Taurus should be than a luxo-cruiser), and a friend's old A4 (nice car, but more sport than luxury). Audi does make beautiful cars and the A8 is probably very very nice inside.
I hate that Audi is considered a "luxury brand." The problem with auto journalists is they believe every kind of car should be a variation on an M3. When I think of a luxury brand, I think of a car that is roomy, quiet, comfortable, and floats down the road. Something with heft and authority and funky gadgets.
If anyone is going to group moped to this from Ferndale/Royal Oak, let me know.
From the side it looks like a cartoon 911.
