40 years ago, it was a common scare-tactic to argue that if Renee Richards were allowed to compete in women’s tennis, then young male tennis players would transition in droves for the exact same reasons you suggest. 40 years later, it’s never happened. Not once. Your scare tactics are nonsense.

There is no testosterone limit for male athletes, so long as it’s natural and not achieved by doping.

Back in the 1970s, when I was about 20 years old, I was approached several times on subway platforms, in parks, etc. by young women who invited me to come with them to visit their house and have dinner with a group of people. It was pretty obvious that they were Moonies, and I always declined politely. I don’t know

The percentage of white people and people of color who are trans is pretty much the same, so far as I know. 30 years ago, trans women who were POC were far more likely to transition at a young age than white trans women.  They had less to lose.

That was Candy.

According to Janet Mock, there were a number of trans men in the ball scenes. They didn’t want to use the terminology for them that might have been used at the time (“male impersonator,” etc.), so they didn’t specifically identify them.

I loved this finale. It could have served very well as a series finale if the show hadn’t been renewed. Maybe it is a fairy tale, but it’s nice to see a happy ending to the season for trans characters, for once in the history of television.

Don’t even respond. Eyerolltothemoon is a typical TERF, in bed with the right wing.  Denied service in a public accommodation?  Too bad, just go somewhere else to get your wedding cake or flowers or to fill your hormone prescription.  Just go to another lunch counter.

It’s because this woman was visibly trans, not because of her actual anatomy or former anatomy.  If she “passed,” he would never have known.  Cis women who “look masculine” also get harassed by people who think they’re trans women.

Obviously Trump never heard of Montenegro until Putin mentioned it to him.  I’m sure he still has no idea where it is.

Nothing. Except that it’s an example of extreme type-casting to have  him play a lawyer.

Lew Wasserman was from Cleveland, I think.  Did the Chicago mob run things there?

It seems pretty obvious to me from the clothing that it starts out in the 1950s and continues in the 1960s. There’s nothing ambiguous at all about that.

“Elektra learns that rich men with trans women fetishes that she used to capitalize off of don’t desire her anymore simply because of her genitalia, a devastating realization that reiterates just how much emphasis heteronormative and patriarchal society places on body parts. Elektra is the most comfortable she has

Obviously I agree that women in their 40s are “stunning,” to use your term. I’m talking about how women seem to be perceived by most men.

It’s different for women.

63 here and just lost my latest job. I was amazed I got that one, but it lasted only 10 months. I am not optimistic for the future, especially because I used up almost all my savings during my last period of unemployment, and because I have chronic health issues. But — I like to think of myself as still being

All the people who think Stan is going to kill Angel are projecting on the basis of stereotypical “tragic trans woman” narratives in the past (and on the basis of wrongly assuming that she’s based on Venus Xtravaganza). That’s not what this show is about, and Ryan Murphy has even said that no trans women are murdered

Her name is Bianca Castro.  You can see it in the credits.  “Jiggly Caliente” was just the name she used when performing on RPDR.
