Just FYI, apparently, the Atlanta Bread Oklahoma location shut down at the end of last year.

I agree, and I so wish that in the middle of the movie they had switched actors playing Darren, with no explanation. Now that would have been meta.

My best friend was named Darren, and I called him Derwood once, and he went apeshit, said if I called him that again our friendship was over. Many years later, I was talking to his wife, I told her about that, and she said she called him that once, and she seriously thought he might divorce her.

I loved Bewitched as a child, I haven’t revisited it as an adult, but I definitely have fond memories of it. I actually watched Sabrina the Teenaged Witch back in the 90's (took endless ribbing from my roommate), and it was fun. Hocus Pocus, I know people love it, but I thought it was absolute dogshit, so ymmv.

I’ve never had anything there but the plain cheesecake, which is amazing, the only better I’ve ever had was at Steak and Ale, but they’re long gone.

It’s not a big deal if you’re lucky enough to not have to work on Sunday, but if you do, it really sucks. I’m lucky enough now to have a job where I have Sundays off, but for most of my life, I didn’t, so I get the grousing about it. On the flipside, I loved the fall back.

Back in the mid 90's, they actually started doing fried chicken, and it was really good, maybe my favorite fast food fried chicken at the time.

I still miss the V cut.

I unironically liked it too, then it became kind of funny, then it was my last chance for a bathroom run before the movie.

I’m guessing you’re a scientologist?

And of course, we know it’s a guy.

Boy, I’m glad I have no interest in seeing this movie.

I was always hoping for John Amos, but I suppose he’s too old now, but this is great casting.

Baskin Robbins has a great chocolate peanut butter.

I couldn’t help but think of the Doughboys podcast when I saw your comment, Nick Wiger’s favorite ice cream being vanilla is semi-frequently discussed on there. My dad bought vanilla a lot, but he drowned it in chocolate syrup, so don’t know if that counts.

I think you nailed it, chocolate chip was my favorite as a kid, back in the 70's, but once those other flavors started coming out, I kind of left it behind.

Coffee is my favorite flavor, Blue Bell makes it, and I’ve seen it at every grocery store where I live. If you have a Trader Joe’s in your area, they have a version.

I don’t think all the legal weed has helped, people aren’t going out drinking as much, everybody kind of curls up at home with some friends and smoke. They either already  have their snacks or just order takeout.

Rock of Ages was in 2012, and American Made was 2017, and yeah, there’s some action in it, but not in the same way as MI or Top Gun, it was based on a true story, maybe his most recent try for an Oscar.

I’m on board for it, maybe not as the lead, but the movie is set in the 70's, and the guy writes for a porn mag, so maybe Cruise as a really sleazy porn publisher. Think Les Grossman combined with Philip Baker Hall’s character from Boogie Nights. That might finally get him the Oscar.
