They did. ...It's called Windows Phone 8. :)

This is F'n ridiculous! Microsoft needs to upgrade my Focus to a quadcore CPU or I'm never buying another Microsoft device! My next computer will be a Mac because of this!
" "I didn't notice the typo at the time." -> Big difference" No there is no difference at you. Apparently you just didn't understand my point. I was telling you that you wrote the wrong word because I knew that didn't notice.
I don't give a fuck about any of your comments. In fact I made this handy Venn diagram explaining how much I don't give a fuck.
Windows Phone 8 not Windows 8 Phone.
Yes but both the Touch cover and the Type cover have built in trackpads which (to the best of my knowledge) none of the keyboard cases for iOS or Android have.
"It was a typo. =.= I thought that was clear"
You put it in quotes. When I called you on the fact that I never said it you said "You did say it, sir" (this would be where you would have said 'oops typo' if it was clear even to you that you were misquoting me). Only after I told you the meaning of the word that you had stated twice that I said did you claim that…
No I didn't. Those are 2 different words:
Because it has a hand brake. That adds $600.
Because your friends have gotten viruses in the past doesn't mean that if you had of opened the email on your PC yesterday that you would have gotten one.
So your arguement is that you are glad you didn't open the email on your PC just because possibly maybe the virus could have theoretically gotten past Microsoft Security Essentials? Seems to me you are concerned about a non-existant issue.
"Anecdotally, it can be hard to find anyone using Windows in many WiFi coffeeshops."
Anything you can connect to your Windows 7 PC you can connect to a Surface, so that won't be an issue. Also Windows 8 has security software built it so that also won't be an issue.
Actually you are wrong about the apps.
It doesn't need to be easy to connect to a Windows 8 PC, it IS a windows 8 PC. (although it will be easy)
You can do it with an iPad only if you buy a special adapter and most importantly only if you jailbreak your iPad.
Well if you don't like the 10" screen you can just plug in a bigger one. Can't do that with most tablets. ;)
The Pro version is a Full Windows 8 PC so yes you can do anything with it. This is the future of PC's.
But that's the big difference this Does have the full capabilities of a laptop. That is where it beats every other tablet on the market. The advantages of a tablet with the advantages, apps, and peripherals of a real PC running a full desktop OS = Win.
