I believe my method is even quicker and easier:
1) lay the duvet out.
2) turn the cover inside out, reach in and grab corners of closed end
3) grab corners of duvet, and shake to turn the cover right side out

they don’t outright ban it. but it’s frowned upon. add to that people’s general shame around money (feeling they get too much or too little, doesn’t matter) and it’s pretty easy to get most everyone to stay schtum.
