I mean, no internet, no problem then?

Eh, picked one up for the wife 3.5 years ago, and would totally disagree with this statement. Was an almost-new (7k miles) car that we picked up at a pretty significant discount from new, and it’s been great for what it is, a runty little runabout. It’s no FiST, but then again don’t think it ever was really trying to…
There’s nothing “hot” about the RS, it is just a trim package with a slightly tweaked suspension IIRC and no more horsepower.
they shouldn’t own an EV
Wrong. Paying with cash is a perfectly acceptable way to buy fuel. Sitting in front of a pump or charger and NOT using it for its intended purpose is different.
No. The whole thing about a Tesla is that it should be as free from range anxiety as possible thanks to its supercharger network. People pay to access that network, you don’t, no matter how short amount of time you park there. It’s not your spot. In fact, in some states, I believe the law supports my line of reasoning.
I imagine the law differs from state-to-state, I’ve heard that some states you are definitely not allowed to park in spots reserved for electric vehicles.
But how can you be assured that some day you won’t stop a Tesla from being able to charge? It’s practically the equivalent of parking in front of a gas pump and not using it.
But be warned: there is a chance a disgruntled cop could get you into trouble over “misrepresenting the size of your vehicle” by having these lights on a vehicle that is under 80 inches wide.
If I commit a crime, the police apply for and get a warrant to search my phone, they should be able to.

How do you propose that Apple provide access to phones under a subpoena, in a manner that cannot be abused by anyone else?
There is no way for the phone to differentiate between a hacker and a law enforcement personnel.
Warrants can not compel someone to give up a PIN or password. It has been deemed a violation against the right to not self-incriminate or give testimony against one’s self.
Warrants lawfully compel individuals to provide access to named items or areas to law enforcement. There are already repercussions for defying a warrant, and they’re quite serious in some cases.
Then you should turn it off (if you own an iPhone).
“you notice it less when it’s your own car”
Crazy that you see wild inefficiency as job security. Those labor costs get eaten by someone, and it’s not the company.
Joining the Mechanics union was not an option, i was not a Mechanic. The Mechanics negotiated a clause in their contract that no one else can use tool in the field
Yeah but its true, so.
