You are forgetting they are a global company now. All they need to do is pluck the Focus and Fiesta from Europe, change a few things for emissions and crash standards and ship them over. I bet they keep this in their back pocket and it only takes a few months to respond to a gas shortage.

Ford is really into this ambiguous car thing lately. First the Fiesta is just a mash up of over small hatchbacks and now the Focus, its part Volvo, Hyundai, and Mazda, no Ford made its way in there.
