Should have just used a Fiesta. Way cheaper.

No portal axles, no Unimog replacement

When you really wanted a Unimog but wanted to keep things a little more affordable.

I was thinking a Ford Centaurus.

Erm, how about a Land Rover, maybe a Land Rover Centaur.

They just need to resurrect the Top Gear Hilux and send that. Heck, it could probably drive the whole way there.

Define “high”. There isn’t really a lot of incentive to maximize your Gs in a launch vehicle.  (Or a reentry vehicle, for that matter.)  More structure = more mass = less payload = less money.  Plus, if your ride up is really rough, you won’t get a lot of customers since you’ll be exceeding their own spacecraft’s

That must have required a lot of overnight parts from Japan.

Little-known fact: most Ferraris can be had with that third pedal, but it’s actually the trigger for the fire extinguisher. Sadly, most do not opt for this.

Hilariously the Corolla is the only one with a 3rd pedal.

It’s not about materials, it’s about structures. Stuff’s got to flex and bend in order to accept the loads, and that movement is what contributes to the fatigue.

Of course you might need to, well, bring a trailer since it won’t do freeway speeds.

Mine rubs a little.
