You’re a conspiracy theorist.

What a waste of a setting and a misstep for the series.
The fuck? She got doxxed? I love video games, but I flippin’ hate video gamers, I swear.
Agreed completely.
Why do any details of this woman’s personal life belong on Kotaku?
I guess there’s something missing here. It’s possibly just something lost in translation, but my gut tells me it’s weird that she jumped from stating that she did not leave him for his brother as she started a relationship after she broke up with him, to “we may have had a relationship, strictly as friends.”

It is not, in any way, the responsibility of Insomniac (or any developer) to wrap their game in real-world politics. It is a work of fiction, set in a universe where a super-scientist with the powers of a spider fights crime in a colorful costume. It’s strange. I’ve played every iteration of this game except on the PC and never once saw any messages like this. I can’t tell if it might be a PC culture thing or a bell curve relating to a larger pool of players or maybe I’ve just gotten old.
Sounds like a problem with the community, not the game.
I mean, the first sentence is:
I learned that lesson real quick. I mean, real quick.
You are not the target audience. Pikachu is designed to appeal to young children. Get the fuck over it.
