No team gets better after losing two all-star starters. The Cavs clearly ran out of gas and two more players contributing at least 70 minutes a game would have made a huge difference down the stretch

Lebron James carried a team comprised of the replacements and lost to the Warriors in 6 games because Steph showed up to three games and Clay was non existent; Iguodala is a good defender but the only thing that stopped Lebron James in that series was stamina. Cavs got wrecked by injuries and they don’t lose that…
I completely disagree, LeBron won two games basically single handedly, and was on top in a third when he ran out of steam. Add two all-stars and I can’t see how you’re positive it wouldn’t matter.
You have all the answers. You can analyze the past and see the future. I must be talking to one of the Warrior owners. They have ALL the answers. Just ask ‘em. They love to tell you....
Cleveland would tell you it was bullshit that two all-stars were knocked out of the finals. I rather beat the splash brothers at full strength but I’m not going to cry if he’s not around in the finals. Health is super important, last year might have gone different if Cavs are healthy.
So in other words- it sucked last year when Cleveland took GS to 6 games in the Finals without Love and Kyrie?
“[A]nd there’s a decent chance the Clippers-Trail Blazers series goes long, giving Curry additional time to rest.”
When are the NBA playoffs over, September?
I think saying they can beat the Clippers without Curry is suspect.
Deceptive title. It has nothing to do with MtG.
Wow- a video post on a Gawker channel that, aside from posting the video, actually lists for me the key points in bulleted, easy to read form so I don’t have to watch. Thank you, Lifehacker. io9 has a lot to learn from you guys about to present posts like these to their viewers and allow us to consume content without…
RG3 will have a great run in Cleveland. Too bad they’ll be down 30 to Pittsburgh when it happens.
Terminator? My first memory of Cheyenne Mountain came from Wargames!
Also I would point out the whole “more poeple die from guns than cars” stat is incredibly misleading. The vast majority of gun deaths are suicide. Having a trackable gun isn’t going to do squat to reduce those deaths. Hell, eliminating guns altogether isn’t going to really stop suicides, you will just get more…
+1 dead camcorder
Wow, Urban Meyer is one selfish son of a bitch. As an employee for the State of Ohio you would think that he would act in the best interest of the state. Yet, he still sits, all cozy in Columbus, refusing to lend one of his three stud QBs to the Browns.
I’m talkin bout Pete Rose Smith
I think my favorite thing about all the think pieces on Ballers so far is how angry people are getting that the show is actually showing the reality of the NFL, and how, yeah, sometimes it fucking sucks to be young, rich, and wealthy when you have no idea what you’re getting into and what that might potentially mean.
Omar Infante starting an All-Star game that will decide home field advantage in the WS?
