It lasted two-and-a-half years, from September 1991 to Cobain’s death in March 1994. And it floundered earlier than that, when In Utero sold well below expectations.

Oh, yeah. They were ridiculous. Mine never really hit above 10 minutes, but a few people reliably had 10-20 minute load times for the game. It’s led to endless memes and jokes and teasing.

Sure. But the load times in the game were ridiculous. 5-10 minutes sometimes. No exaggeration. I would occasionally start the game and go have a shower or make myself a pot of tea, because it wasn’t worth remaining at the computer.
The long load times were a joke on the GTA subreddit that had been made so many times…
