Jesus wept. The snark...

Flynt, like so many people (almost everyone really) can’t easily be narrowly categorized as “good” or “evil.”

Just flag and ignore. Flag and ignore.

Thanks for the link! (Although it wasn’t hard to find a bunch of other sources.)

Fair.
But the study being poorly run doesn’t mean the conclusion (effectively that power corrupts) is invalid.

“Who knows what’s happened,” Snyder said. “I don’t know if he’s wearing makeup, I don’t know what’s happening. It’s hard to say exactly.”

They’re some of those places that are absolutely needed and when they work, they work well.
But they also need to be tightly, heavily regulated with zero tolerance for abuse.

That was actually a winking reference to superglue spray being used in emergency medicine during the Vietnam war, to quickly seal wounds and prevent bleeding out. And there’s a number of other skin related uses.

Will it directly lead to good? Probably not. Should we talk about it and expose it and keep on with the fight? Absolutely. And you are right talking about it probably isn’t going to change peoples buying habits. That was never going to change things at this point. Its going to take unionization.

I don’t give a fuck about it, or this company.

Bullshit.

But lets be clear here. Simply because bad has happened does not mean good can not happen, or should not happen.

It wasn’t fraud.

Even if you ignore that crunch if standard across the industry. And that CDPR didn’t do anything any other studio isn’t currently doing.
Putting all that aside.

Wah wah. I’m out $70 and because I preordered a goddamn video game. And that makes it okay if a thousand people lose their jobs and possibly get doxxed, from the CEO to the hard working programmers who worked their ass off on a game and are still working their ass off.

If only someone like Bernie Madoff had made a lackluster videogame...

Fuck off.
Releasing an adequate but buggy video game isn’t “defrauding” anyone. It’s not like they purposely set out to scam anyone. They wanted to make the best game possible. They wanted their fans to be happy. And they failed. Spectacularly. And for really dumb reasons.
But there was nothing malicious at play.

The catch is, we already know the working conditions. Because anonymous staff spoke with several media outlets. It’s highly unlikely any corporate memos will change what we already know.
