As I said to another poster it was an impulsive comment. And hoped that by outing myself and saying how shitty jokes like that are, I might stop someone else from saying it in earnest.

It was kinda a “spur of the moment” post.
But also, I guess I hoped that by calling myself out and pointing out how shitty those comments are, I might stop someone else from genuinely saying it.

I thought it for just half a second.
And even that was enough for me to post my response in honest shame, as a self-own. To call out what I’m sure others were thinking and point to it as uncool and neither original nor funny, let alone acceptable.

I briefly thought about making a sarcastic comment about his weight/ health and the “surprise” of him dying.
But that seems tasteless. He was a human being who left friends and family behind. People will mourn him. I’m sorry I even considered the joke for a second. And I hope no one else is “that person.”

The inherent problem with articles like this—and fuck are there many on this site—is that they’re basically “in an off-the-cuff interview, person X said ______.”
And it’s hard to come off well in an interview when you could be asked anything. You either try to be diplomatic, pass on answering, or come across as…

I love Moffat’s episodes in the Tennant years, and like a LOT of the Smith run, but agree he was a weaker showrunner. While the peaks were higher, the valleys of the filler episodes were just that much lower. He probably should have left with Smith, as the Capaldi episodes were often the weakest of his run.
