I don’t think this is stupid at all. It’s simple economics: Supply & Demand. There will always be absurdly wealthy people and the amount of them is only growing. Supply is non-existent and for such a rare item, the demand will only increase.

VW’s are the same. I would always prefer pushing down or pulling a ‘ring’ up in order to shift into reverse. I’ve never accidentally shifted into Rev in my 14 years of driving VW’s.

From personal experience, Massachusetts (doesn’t pay attention) and New Jersey (doesn’t pay attention AND they’re aggressive) are the worst. Hawaii is the best but probably tainted by drunken tourists.

I started on a brand new GSXR600 and was fine. Everyone is different but as long as your very cautious in your first season or two riding, you really should be ok. That being said, I rode scared my first season. If you’re not afraid of what a sportsbike can do, you’re better off starting on a 250/350.
