@The HZA.: I wish I could say that they were still in great condition. My sister's (then) puppy decided my shoes looked good to eat. The plastic that holds up the back part of the shoe, yeah, that's just fabric now.

I'm all about my black low-top chucks. Bought them sophomore year of high school, wrote my college application essays about them, and just wore them to class two days ago. They are torn, beat up, scribbled all over, and yet 8 years later are still my favorite pair of shoes. I absolutely refuse to buy another pair.

@mscales27: Does a brand a chef make? You would know better than I. Do you consider anybody who cooks and has schooling a chef per se?

@Hortense de Beauharnais: I would liken the difference between chef and cook to the difference between author and writer. Yes, they do the same things, but there is a different connotation; the connotation being that the formers are creators of original works.
