I mean, you still have people saying “well the rumors were actually correct this is just the result of chip shortage/covid/whatever other excuse they can come up with.” Is Nintendo working on a 4K switch? Duh. Is this it? No. Were the rumors wrong? Yes.

I mean, at the moment they were demonstrably wrong. I have no doubt Nintendo is working on a 4K version of the Switch, but this ain’t it.

I just bought my switch in March and that absolutely would have gotten me to upgrade. Oh well.

I highly doubt they'd give you a new model for a warranty replacement. In my experience that only happens when there are no direct replacements on hand and refurb switches will be floating around for years to come.

Part of why they won't hear the end of it is because they're perpetuating a right wing talking point that is factually incorrect and consistently used to argue against universal healthcare. They get there in the end, which is good, but we need to stop with the disinformation.

Yep. It's a ridiculous excuse but I guess if your identity is tied up in liking a game/publisher then you'll use any excuse you can to stick up for that game/publisher.
