The speed increase is definitely noticeable. I was nearly lost there for a second without Tab Mix Plus but with the dev build I'm good to go. Still missing updates for Better GReader, Better GCal, Customize Google, and FoxyTunes.

Just pay your bills on time, don't carry credit card balances, keep your borrowing to reasonable levels for responsible purchases (home, education, a car if necessary), and live within your income, and all of these other scores are moot.
About a year ago, I discovered how much more pleasant your workspace can be with just a few velcro ties. Although certainly you can take it to cable-management-porn levels if you've got the time and inclination.
Frankly, Ramit Sethi's arrogance is beginning to wear on me. He says, "It's just none of their business." as if you can just wave your hand and make the question go away.
Might anyone know why I'm unable to schedule nightly backups in Vista using SyncBack freeware? I schedule it in SyncBack the same way as I do on my other computer that uses XP, and that works fine, but for some reason on Vista it just doesn't run.
@Deprong Mori: What's wrong with reading personal finance blogs?
Put together a quick and dirty spreadsheet that tracks your income and deductions and matches it up against tax tables. Instead of doing taxes once a year, and wondering until that point how they will turn out, it offers you a real-time look at how you're doing and if you need to correct withholding. It makes doing…
You can force open a new tab with Tab Mix Plus, plus if you assign keywords to each site in your search bar you should never have to worry about resetting to your default search engine or clearing the search bar.
I get the "address not found" message when I click on the download button.
@VayaConQueso: You may consider trying to create a new Foxmarks account, then uploading your links to that, then deleting your other account. I was getting some mysterious sync errors with Foxmarks in recent days, and through much experimentation I figured out that somehow I had corrupted (for lack of a better term)…
@Spencer:
It works well for me for the most part, except it doesn't distinguish between the different types of Outlook events (free, tentative, out of office), and it apparently does not recognize Outlook recurring appointments if they were originally set up too long ago.
Sometimes I really struggle to understand people's fascination with Google and its products. This is one of those times.
I was one of the people who raised the issue of web vs. desktop RSS readers when Adam posted about FeedDemon last week. I'm a longtime Bloglines user, and I'm about 99% convinced that web is the way to go for me simply because it's one less program on my computer, which means one less thing for me to manage. Plus, if…
Apologies, but one more question - how do you overcome the lack of portability for a desktop-based reader when traveling?
Adam:
I installed it and tried to use it, but nothing showed up on the page when I clicked on a product in Amazon. There's also nothing in the context menu, and apparently no support or troubleshooting. So it's not working for me.
I love the idea of Mint - in fact I'm trying to test it out right now - but it won't import my EverBank online bank account. Kind of ironic. I've waited weeks hoping it would be fixed to no avail.
When I first turned on the week counter, it showed up okay. But when I clicked the arrow to collapse the sidebar, suddenly the week counter was gone. Anyone else having this issue?
Very cool. One issue I'm wrestling with right now is how to create space for items that I sometimes use at my desk but are not permanent fixtures - like a digital camera, camcorder, or cell phone (when charging). And on top of that is the issue of all the USB cables that sit there unused until I plug these items in.…
