That’s not Mr. Music!  The Good Place is still broken!

“At least he’s stopped asking me to dinner to ‘talk about my career.’”

Jason said to trust both Michael and Glenn and was dismissed out of hand. But he was right, they were both telling the truth.

Morris Chestnut was Manny II????  We so have to have him and Kevin run into each other at Manny-Con (come on, that has to be a thing, right?) and get pissy at one another over who was more popular, this has to happen!

Some great silent acting work from Jennifer Morrison in the car ride, stopping Kevin from interrupting Nicky telling his story as Cassidy knows full well how important it can be for a veteran to get that kind of thing out, and then fully turning around in fascination at the story.

NBC really thinks audiences are craving those exciting local-government storylines (looking at you Parenthood)

Some shows were meant to run for five seasons and go out on a high. Its almost criminal that the studios don’t let that happen. The cast and writers on this show could have gone on to do perhaps two more great series if this show had only ended when it should.

“Simply put, this is a dud.”-

I appreciated the Kate/Stewart moment because we don’t often get to see young Kate having confidence or positivity because so much focuses on her body image. I think it helped to show a little more of how Kate can be the person who can make the best of a not great situation. It’s not to downplay her body image issues,

I’m sorry, but Jack Jr.’s song is terrible.

But: twist!  One of the puppies ends up being William’s cat!

The whole time I couldn’t stop thinking he looked like a young, male version of her!

OMG, the coffee thing bugged me too!!

Uh yeah... that intro and her finding him “charming” was not what my takeaway would have been from a first encounter.  He even made her get him more coffee after she already said her shift was over - that’s some bullshit.

Fun fact: Asante Blackk is the nephew of Samira Wiley (Pussey from Orange is the New Black)

Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought Jack Jr.’s song was bad. Saw people praising it and did not understand.

That stood out to me, too. So did “oh, you got jokes!” which I could be wrong about — I just feel like that emerged way more recently than 30 years ago.

Nobody said “reboot” to mean reviving a tv show in 1990. Sometimes the language on this show is jarringly anachronistic. Sometimes I think, well, a lot of slang did originate with ball culture so I can write off other instances of language that sounds out of place, but “REBOOT?” in 1990? When NOT talking about

Last week’s episode was easily the best of the season, especially with Molly Shannon’s Emmy-worthy breakdown near the end. Really hope this show gets renewed ‘cause it’s definitely been a treat to watch.

Nice to see a review for the show. It’s definitely worthy of coverage when season 2 comes around. This was an excellent first season. One of the best new shows I’ve seen in quite some time.
