This reminds me of a time when I was going to private school on a basketball scholarship, so nobody thought I could hack it in my non-hoop related classes. This one vengeful English teacher, who liked to bully other kids, never believed I was as smart as I had proven I was time and time again... Especially when it

Part of it comes from the belief that the world is ever-changing, and behaviors that were once tolerated, aren’t anymore. That’s why you see the Mens’ Rights Activism bullshit. “Well, pinching her ass is a form of flattery!”. Some of the most insufferable fucking people on the planet.

I’m more than a little worried that all this breathless reporting and thinkpieces on incels is just going to give their (admittedly attractive to men who feel isolated) worldview more exposure while driving the core believers to radicalize. No good can come of this.

A too-wide generalization but one that may hold some truth here: Women tend to internalize pain; men externalize it. Both are dangerous for the person in pain, but only one of them is dangerous to the rest of the world.

This is EASILY my favorite review of this film. The inevitable trolling of the butt-hurt comics nerds only proves its greatness. I’ll never tire of the sad spectacle of “fans” who are so emotionally invested in what is essentially a massive marketing scheme designed to take as much of their money as possible,

That’s why I still tackle my underarm hair with precision I give no other activity. I can roll with leg hair and my face stubble to a point but I’ve had a few people recoil at my underarms with revulsion I usually reserve for things that aren’t as benign as body hair... it doesn’t bother me but the expectations of

you’re gonna get past all this, ellie, and you know why?

My god I felt all the emotions while reading this response. But it ended in triumph, so I’m good.

It is right and good that Samoas ended at the top of the list, Megan. The farther down the page we got with no mention of my caramel and chocolate loves had me alternating between horror (that you wouldn’t list them) and rage (that you thought some other, sadder, less good cookie would prevail).

Yet, under Alabama’s accomplice liability law, Lakeith was not only tried as an adult, but charged in the death of A’Donte, even though it was a cop’s bullet who ended the 16-year-old’s life (the still unnamed officer was found justified in the killing by a grand jury).

That is the laugh of a kid who knows the system is fucked, knows he’s getting locked up for no reason, and knows the actual cop who committed the actual murder got off free.

Shhhh!

These type of accomplice laws are bullshit, since there’s been numerous cases of (usually Black boys and men) charged with crimes they didn’t personally commit and may not have even known about.

If america were to kick those aggressively stupid financially draining, pathologically violent family embarrassments to the curb, “...for the first time in my adult life I would feel proud of my country”.

Wow, you mean a little girl wanted to be a princess when she grew up? Weird.

Dear Tiangong-1,

Her work is specialized and NASA is kind of a big deal. No one expects you to stay at a job for 10 years anymore—in fact, they often look down on those who do. Why not, if it is a good offer, take the job with an eye toward getting a more geographically desirable position in a few years?

Tell her to talk to them. I was in management and there were a few employees who were treated special because to be honest, they were special. One moved further away because of family but we worked with him and he stayed with the company for 10+ years after because of that.

Definitely. Aerospace work means she’s going to be in a lot of varied/far flung places, so learning to negotiate for flexible enough hours not to feel isolated is a skill to start polishing.

Also, STOP HOVERING and let her grow up already.
